CITY NATIONAL BANK
For 12 years I worked as a resident freelance writer in the Marketing Department of City National Bank, a Beverly Hills-based business bank proud of Hollywood clientele. I wrote and co-produced a bimonthly employee video, print articles, developed and wrote multiple Annual Officers Meetings, wrote speeches and served as a ghostwriter for executives. I became the unofficial historian for the bank, having researched the bank’s history for its 50 anniversary. celebration and also ghostwriting the former CEO, now Board President’s remembrances.

GREAT PLACE TO WORK INSTITUTE
I wrote book-length corporate submissions for companies to be selected for the Institute’s annual list of “100 Beset Companies to Work For” published by Fortune Magazine every year. Clients were Qualcomm, ARI, both domestic and Canadian, General Mills, and Kaiser Permanente. Each submission addressed a series of management and cultural questions requiring extensive documentation of company polices and practices, conducting numerous interviews with executives and employees, organizing material into a multi-chapter narrative with multiple reviews and deadlines.

CEDARS-SINAI MEDICAL CENTER
I worked as a long-term freelance writer for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center writing profiles of major donors for CATALYST and news articles on robatics in surgery for DISCOVERIES, their research and education publication, executive speeches for donor recognition events such as the Barbra Streisand Women’s Cardiovascular Research and Education Program, and developing and scripting videos for major donor events and celebrations such as the annual Sports Spectacular.

CITY OF PHILADELPHIA
I was hired by the City of Philadelphia for their tricentennial celebration Century IV. I wrote exhibit copy for their traveling exhibit Philadelphia Moving Past, a history of Philadelphia and its evolving neighborhoods, and for the closing ceremony at Penn’s landing that featured a national Native American powwow and the “return” of William Penn to the city he founded three hundred years before and greeted by Mayor William Green.

PACIFIC BRIDGE COMPANIES
The Pacific Bridge Companies serves the Pacific Rim by employing U.S.-based insurance products to assist Asian high-net worth individuals in estate planning and generational wealth transfer. I was part of a rebranding team to research, evaluate, and develop a new branding position for the company, drafting the Brand Strategy document and writing copy for its new website and brochures.

BUSINESS WRITING
CLEANWAY - BUSINESS PLAN
Cleanway is a national franchise specializing in residential and executive carpet and hard surface cleaning, specializing in major industrial accidents and discharges requiring exhaustive remediation. I was hired to draft a new business plan for the company to strength and expand its national franchise base. I also wrote a series of “advertorials” - advertisements presented as testimonials by satisfied franchisees extolling the benefits and rewards of being a Cleanway franchise as well as additional marketing and sales materials.

Over the years, I’ve written newsletters and for numerous clients, both print and video, including articles on preparing for a medical appointment and latest development in fertility treatments for HealthNow, a publication of Keck School of Medicine, USC; "How to ‘Wow’ Your Customer” for Merle Norman Cosmetics franchisees, “Best Practice Bulletin” fore Toyota Australia, and business stories for Marshall School of Business, USC’s alum publication, such as taking the new Kia Amanti for a spin to write about it.

KING ADDULLAH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (KAUST)
King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). KAUST was conceptualized as Saudi Arabia’s premier science and technology university, drawing students and faculty from within the Kingdom, the Middle East and from the world to be a global leader on par with universities in the U.S. and Europe. I worked with Saudi Department of Education and Aramco and HOK (which handled the logistics and construction of the KAUST and its academic community) to write a series of marketing videos communicating the concept, importance, and physical design during its construciton.

I wrote numerous training videos for companies including IHOP for their bimonthly breakfast promotions such as “What’s Hot! Getting the Goods on Grillers”, Merle Norman cosmetics new product introductions for its franchisees such as “Merle Norman Has Something New for You!” and Transamerica introducing new technology for employees with “Seeing Is Believing.”

TIFFANY
I developed and wrote the video concept and treatment for the annual Holiday video for Tiffany employees, featuring six representative employees from the company’s global family. The video would track their typical workday, illustrating their commitment, engagement, and support for Tiffany, its brand, products, traditions, and reputation while emphasizing the unique Tiffany culture and employee pride in working for the global brand.
